PROVIDING INDEPENDENT AND OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS OF UK DRUG POLICY
Working with leading researchers our activities will include:
- Examining the gaps in the evidence base and how these can be filled;
- Analysing the evidence where this exists, to draw out the implications for drug policy: what works, what doesn't and what shows promise;
- Highlighting the learning from analysis that already exists;
- Collaborating with other bodies to promote cross sector approaches to the analysis of policy effectiveness.

USING THE EVIDENCE TO ENCOURAGE A WIDER, INFORMED DEBATE
Ensuring our analysis is used by UK governments when considering policy, and by the media and public to encourage a wider, informed debate.
Using the findings from our research and analysis our activities will include:
- Working with policymakers to help inform the development of future policy;
- Consultation and deliberation directly with other organisations and members of the public;
- Engaging with the media to encourage an informed debate on a wider scale.
